  3. Describe the conflict: the conflict is that Bryce moves in a house across the street from Julianna’s house. Julianna has been bothering Bryce ever since he moved in. By middle school, Julianna has calmed down and has been more mature about the situation. One day, Julianna was at her favorite place which is the sycamore tree that she loved to climb and play on. That day, workers came and tried to cut it down. Bryce saw everything and once they cut it down, Bryce felt bad and sorry that he didn’t go up in the tree with Julianna.

  6. The conflict in the book is that ever since Bryce moved into the house near Juli's, Juli fell in love with Bryce. Bryce has never liked Juli and there begins a conflict in the story in many ways. Juli always wants to be around Bryce every chance she gets meanwhile Bryce is trying to run away from her. Bryce doesn't see the other side of Juli, he just sees the crazy and annoying side of her. Juli can't stay away from him while Bryce needs to run away!

  7. The conflict between Bryce and Juli is that ever since Bryce's family moved in, Juli has been trying to be friends with Bryce and get him to like her too. But for Bryce, being friends with Juli is torture, and he tries to keep away from her as much as possible. On the other hand, Juli's conflict is that throughout the book, she cannot convince Bryce that Juli is not the annoying girl that he thinks she is. At the end, both realize that they both could not get along, because they both never cared to see deeper into each other.

  9. In Flipped, Juli and Bryce have several conflicts. Bryce’s conflicts are mainly that he’s scared of upsetting other people, even if it’s the better thing to do. Some examples are when Juli gave Bryce and his family chicken eggs to eat for free, his family refused to eat them because they were afraid of salmonella and they told Bryce to tell Juli that they were allergic or didn’t eat eggs so that she would stop giving them to their family. Bryce was scared of hurting Juli’s feelings so he never told her not to bring any; he just threw them away as soon as she dropped them off. One time she caught him throwing away the eggs and lost his trust. Juli’s conflicts are that Bryce keeps hurting her feelings and she is trying to make things better but some things are past her point of reach. An example is how Bryce said her yard was disgusting; Juli cannot do anything about her yard because it is the landlord of her house’s job to keep the yard neat, although he never has. Juli tries to fix-up the yard but she doesn’t have enough time, energy and money to finish.

  10. The conflict started when Juli Baker started giving eggs for free to Bryce. But Bryce and his family think they shouldn’t eat the eggs because they could get salmonella. The only reason they think they could get salmonella is because the Baker’s yard is such a mess. Bryce didn’t know how to tell Juli, so every time she would bring over the eggs, he would throw them in the trash. Juli never knew until one day when Bryce took out the trash, she saw the full carton of eggs sitting on top in the trash bag. She was heart-broken. She started balling and ran across the street to her house. Bryce was in shock and didn’t know what to do. He felt like a jerk. He wondered if he should apologize, but he didn’t want to make anything worse.
